January 2010 class

So I have to say I was a bit nervous about the weather for our class this past weekend!  We had snow piles as tall as the windows in my studio and record cold conditions for January.  Yikes, so bitterly cold and so much snow.  I have to give my husband a special thank you for doing such a great job clearing the snow and keeping us warm… thanks Kevin!!  We had such a wonderful class with 13 lovely photographers and 6 gorgeous models.  Thanks to all the parents for braving the cold and snow to bring your new little ones to my studio.  Everyone was on time (and even early) and so eager to have their new baby as a model.  As a special thanks to you parents, Tracy and I have a package heading your way next week!  And now a progression of our wonderful class.

day 1 model 1, Brooks at 10 days old.  We always start the class with bean bag posing and he did great!  tracy-raver-photography_3511c_blog

michelle chandler - all I can say is wow. Words can only begin to describe how amazing your workshop was. I am so happy I made the choice to track half way across the country to see the most amazing newborn photographers ever! As you know there are choices in trainings but by far even before I met you or had even spoke to either of you I knew you were the ones. It is not often that photographers ever take the time to help those in need of guidance. You two pride yourself and on helping others and truly building relationships and that is what makes you stand out above the rest. You both are an inspiration and are truly the best!!! Thanks so much in helping me with my endeavor in building my business. I cant wait to go back with my new confidence and implement your training magic. Thanks so much and keep doing what your doing because you guys are changing the world one photographer at a time!January 12, 2010 - 11:20 pm

Bil Harris - The Workshop was incredible. Your ability to communicate the art and craft of newborn photography exceeded all of our expectations. We were immediately engaged by your joy of working with the first model and that continued throughout all the sessions including even the Photoshop tutorials at the end. You and Tracy reveal a profound generosity of spirit as you share your methods. Robin and I recommend your workshop without reservation.January 13, 2010 - 1:12 pm

andi laine - simply perfection! I can't say enough how wonderful you two are. You make this look so easy and effortless. I still can't believe we went through 6 babies and not a one cried during their session. You truly are the "baby whisperers". Thank you, thank you, thank you for taking time out of your busy schedules to teach us. You're my heros :)January 13, 2010 - 5:26 pm

Bonnie Romano - OMG where to begin. AMAZING!!! I learned so much. From posing to proper exposure tips and creamy, beautiful looking post processing. Best of all I learned so many little secrets to soothing and working with these beautiful little miracles! I enjoyed every aspect of the workshop. Unlike other workshops that I've attended, I felt like there was no holding back. You shared every bit of your knowledge with us and gave us all the information we need to experience the level of success that you have worked so hard to achieve. I left feeling inspired, knowledgeable and revived!!! Thanks to both of your families too! I know it's a sacrifice to spend your entire weekend with so many curious minds! I so appreciate your willingness to help us all learn and grow!January 13, 2010 - 9:01 pm

Gaby Clark - I can only say I just been to a photographer's heaven! A cold heaven ;o) We learned all the secrets for newborn posing, camera settings and how to keep the baby calm, and even how to make our own props! This was only possible to the generosity and willingness of Kelley and Tracy to share all their knowledge. I think this is one of the best decisions I made in my career as a photographer. Thanks for such a wonderful class!!January 13, 2010 - 10:30 pm
